As a human and social creatures, we need a motivation for build the spirit and also we must be disciplined humans, both in managing time and everything else. Sometimes many people lose motivation because of something. It’s not always easy to stay motivated. We might start out strong, but somewhere along the way we may falter. There are three main reasons that people tend to lose motivation from time to time. 1) Lack of confidence, 2) Lack of focus, and 3) Lack of direction. From this chapter tell us about how to addresing lack of confidence, focus, and direction.

When you have the discipline to continue reaching for your goals despite how you are feeling at the moment, you will enjoy all the results of that effort and the time that it creates for you. If you lack self- discipline, you may be aimless, wandering, starting one thing without finishing it and moving on to something else. You may get frustrated and find that you aren’t able to reach your goals even though it feels like you are trying to do so. There are five basic characteristics of people who possess self-discipline. 1) Self-knowledge, 2) Conscious awareness, 3) Commitment, 4) Courage, and 5) Internal coaching.

Self-Knowledge will help you understand what is important to you and to identify the areas where you’ll want to spend the most time and energy. Consious awarness; before you can become more disciplined, you need to pay attention to what you are already doing and not doing. Commitment; Self-discipline won’t last if you aren’t truly committed to the goals that you are pursuing. If you find that commitment is wavering, you might need to go back to the self-knowledge step and make sure that your goal is something you truly want. Courage, Standing up for something that is important to you in the face of all of the challenges and temptations that we face in life takes a great deal of courage. Internal coaching; To help your self-discipline, you’ll need to turn that ‘internal critic’ into your ‘internal coach.’
